About the event
What Are Moon Ceremonies?
#MoonCeremonies  have been present in nearly all archaic #spiritual systems (and many modern ones) throughout history, though the significance and purpose may vary from practice to practice.
In modern shamanism, the cycles of the moon closely align with the day-to-day lives of ordinary people– like you and me.
We honour the #new moon because it is a time for growth, fresh beginnings, and planning. Most commonly associated with feminine deities and energies, the ceremonies carry abundance and refresh our creativity and adventurous spirits. Many of us are unaware of how the moon may affect our moods and energies, but the new moon brings new potential! Then we celebrate the #quarter moon, for it is just as powerful as the new one. When the shadows begin to shift away from the sun, they bring forth the chance of change and new possibilities– like enacting the plans you made during the new moon. With your freshly-renewed creativity, it’s time to begin building connections and opportunities (both in the real world, and the spiritual one) as the crescent grows stronger. We commemorate the #half moon for determination, focus, and revaluation during the time the moon gathers more strength to glow all the brighter. The half-moon brings development and progress, and the power to forge ahead in all areas of your life, leading us into the full moon. The #full moon is the time for success, healing, and guidance: your plans are coming to fruition, you’ve learnt your lessons along the way, and you’re ready to face the next challenge with the new moon.
Moon ceremonies are vastly inclusive and can be fitted to your own abilities and tastes. Moon baths, smudging herbs (such as anise, frankincense, jasmine, or poppy), or activating crystals/gemstones (like moonstone, quartz, and white opal).
